House Session Drummer | Percussion Instructor | Producer | Engineer
Josh Giunta’s involvement in SweetSounds Studios runs into every facet of the facility, from engineering to session drumming to teaching, and production. After graduating from Berklee College of Music in 2006 with the assistance of the prestigious Armand Zildjian Percussion Scholarship, Josh moved to New York City to create music with the best in the business. He has been doing so as an in-demand gigging & studio drummer, having performed and/or recorded with: Esperanza Spalding (2011 Grammy Winner), RubbleBucket, Elizabeth & the Catapult, Saunders Sermons (2012 Grammy Winner), and many more. He is well known around New York as an exceptionally supportive drummer with a very distinct groove, sound, and pocket, and is always inspired by taking creative direction from artists, producers, and collaborators in order to serve the song appropriately. In addition to his diverse gigging experience, Josh’s experience as an engineer has given him a detailed ear for tuning & tones. His production, engineering, & mixing skills are most highlighted in the work of his production company Love Science Music on their debut full-length album which dropped in early 2013.
